Rupert Murdoch is stepping down as chairman of the board of each Fox Corp. and Information Corp., the corporation claimed on Thursday.

The move will be formal in November. Murdoch, 92, will be appointed chairman emeritus of every business. Lachlan Murdoch, just one of his sons, will grow to be sole chairman of Information Corp and will go on as Fox Corp.’s govt chair and CEO.
