Biden labels Chinese President Xi a dictator


U. S. President Joe Biden calls Chinese President Xi Jinping a dictator in comments on Tuesday at a California fundraiser for his re-election campaign.

U.S. President Joe Biden referred to Chinese President Xi Jinping as a dictator in remarks underscoring the challenging equilibrium of taking care of ties with an assertive world rival while attractive to domestic audiences as he seeks re-election.

Biden’s remark at a Tuesday fundraiser will come just a working day following Secretary of State Antony Blinken wrapped up his initial official pay a visit to to Beijing.

That trip was aimed at mending ties concerning the two world powers that have strike rock base following the U.S. in February shot down what it described as a surveillance balloon — a claim China denies — off the coast of South Carolina.
