WASHINGTON — President Joe Biden will welcome Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to the White House on Thursday as the embattled leader seeks to shore up additional assistance for his war-torn region.

Biden is searching for a “battlefield standpoint” from Zelenskyy in their conference, according to National Security Council spokesman John Kirby.

Zelenskyy addressed the United Nations Typical Assembly before this week in New York.
