Vietnam’s electric automaker VinFast reported on Friday it will hold off deliveries to its initially consumers in the United States to the second 50 percent of February immediately after it finishes updating the cars with the most up-to-date software package.

The Vietnamese business, a unit of conglomerate Vingroup, is gearing up to develop in the United States, where it hopes to contend with existing automakers.

It started out to ship its first 999 electrical automobiles (EVs) in November final year, but has not sent them to consumers nevertheless just after the organization at first targeted December deliveries.

“The autos have been current with the most up-to-date software program. We are preparing to hand in excess of the 1st VF8 automobile versions to consumers in the 2nd half of February,” VinFast mentioned in a assertion.
