Ukraine war updates: Russia heads to the polls 14 dead in Odesa just after Russian missile attack

Russians head to the polls on Friday in a presidential election that is all but particular to grant President Vladimir Putin a fifth phrase in electricity.

Voting will just take spot above three times, though there is no credible opponent to the incumbent chief.

Ukraine’s Overseas Ministry on Thursday explained that Russian attempts to maintain elections in occupied territories or to pressure regional citizens to head to the polls would be “unlawful” — a sentiment echoed by NATO main Jens Stoltenberg in a separate briefing, Reuters claimed.

Meanwhile, skirmishes continued Thursday in the Russian border regions of Belgorod and Kursk as 3 Ukraine-dependent Russian paramilitary teams — the Flexibility of Russia Legion and the Siberia and RDK battalions — find to split into Russian territory.

The Russian Defense Ministry mentioned on the Telegram messaging application that it repelled an additional attempted incursion in Belgorod on Thursday, but the Freedom of Russia Legion stated the assaults would continue on until eventually the location is “fully liberated from the troops of the Putin regime.”

The loss of life toll is mounting in the southern Ukrainian of Odesa immediately after a Russian missile assault struck a household location in the early hours of Friday morning, according to regional officers.

Ukraine also shot down 27 Iranian-made drones about 7 regions throughout the state in the early hrs of Friday early morning, like all-around the capital, Kyiv’s air force claimed.

Somewhere else, French President Emmanuel Macron stated in a televised interview aired Thursday evening that Russia are not able to be allowed to earn the war, and doubled down on his refusal to rule out sending troops from NATO nations around the world to Ukraine.

“If Russia had been to win, the life of French individuals would change. We would no more time have security in Europe. Who can very seriously believe that that Putin, who has revered no restrictions, would quit there?” Macron stated.
