Uber declared Wednesday it can be now supplying return offer transport as a result of mail carriers through its Uber and Uber Eats apps.

The applications, historically employed for ride-hailing and meals shipping products and services, now give the “return a package” function, which will allow prospects to mail up to five packages at a time for a $5 flat charge or $3 for Uber One particular customers. Drivers will pick up the offers and drop them off at UPS, FedEx or USPS.

“Return a package deal” is readily available in dozens of main metro areas across the country and will exist in addition to the Uber Hook up software, which launched in 2020 as a very same-working day shipping choice for clients to send out offers to and from regional destinations.

Packages that are transported through Uber Join have to be prepaid, sealed and completely ready to be transported. Additionally, packages will have to weigh less than 30 kilos and be below $100 in worth. Uber’s shipping and delivery tips prohibit the delivery of some products, this sort of as revenue, reward playing cards and fragile products.

Prospects will also be in a position to adhere to their offers with stay monitoring in the Uber app, which will involve a picture of the receipt as soon as the shipping and delivery has been done.

In addition to the flat cost, standard tipping alternatives are offered for offer deliveries.
