Palestinian officials expressed resounding disappointment immediately after the United States vetoed a United Nations resolution contacting for an fast humanitarian stop-fire in Gaza.

Mohammad Shtayyeh, primary minister of the Palestinian Authority, echoed the disappointment on Sunday, describing the consequence as “sad” and a “shame.”

“Just one hundred and more nations have named for an close to the atrocities. Only a person single country did not like that and vetoed the scenario. I assume this is not clever, this is not acceptable,” he explained.

The internationally identified Palestinian Authority administered the Gaza enclave prior to the shock win of Hamas in the elections of 2006. It now has constrained oversight of the occupied West Bank.
