Twitter to launch encrypted direct messages with voice and online video chat to comply with, Elon Musk says

Twitter could launch encrypted immediate messages on Wednesday, Elon Musk explained, as the CEO outlined programs to boost communication attributes on the social media assistance.

Musk explained in a tweet late Tuesday that the most up-to-date model of the Twitter application incorporates variations to immediate messages or DMs — non-community messages users deliver to just one yet another.

The CEO mentioned that users can now reply to any information in a DM thread, not just the most new, as properly as use any emoji to respond to a information. Previously, customers would only be equipped to reply to the newest message in a DM thread and only react with unique emojis.

Musk also declared that encrypted DMs “should really” be introduced on Wednesday.
