Tropical Storm Lee forecast to fortify into hurricane as it churns in Atlantic toward Caribbean

Tropical Storm Lee strengthened into a hurricane on Wednesday as it churned by means of the open waters of the Atlantic on a route that would consider it close to the northeast Caribbean.
