Shares of Dell Technologies and Tremendous Micro Laptop jumped Thursday just after Elon Musk revealed that the two components makers will deliver servers to aid his synthetic intelligence startup xAI create a supercomputer.

“Dell is assembling 50 % of the racks that are heading into the supercomputer that xAI is creating,” Musk stated in an X article, including that Super Micro will also be involved.

Dell and Super Micro the two popped more than 5% Thursday.

Musk has promised to develop a $500 million “Dojo” supercomputer in Buffalo, New York, and a “tremendous dense, water-cooled supercomputer cluster” at the firm’s manufacturing unit in Austin, Texas. The technological know-how would probably support Tesla build the personal computer vision and significant language models desired for robots and autonomous automobiles.

Musk founded xAI past yr as a challenger to Microsoft-backed OpenAI and Alphabet’s Google. Musk also co-started OpenAI.

Michael Dell, CEO of Dell, claimed Wednesday in an X put up that his business is setting up a “Dell AI manufacturing unit” with Nvidia to electrical power Musk’s AI bot Grok.
