The U.K.’s Manchester Airport claimed Thursday it has quickly shut both of those runways following a period of time of “large snow fall.”

“Wellness and security will generally be our best priority and operations will resume at the earliest possibility,” it stated.

The U.K. has been seized by a chilly snap this week, with the meteorological Achieved Business office issuing several snow and ice yellow warnings across the place, which includes Manchester.

The notices, which expire at 12 p.m. Thursday, sign probable highway and railway journey disruptions.

The business forecasts maximum temperatures of 4 degrees Celsius ( 39.2 Farenheit ) on Thursday.
