Shares of Shutterstock popped 8% Tuesday right after the corporation announced an expanded, 6-calendar year partnership with ChatGPT-maker OpenAI.

Shutterstock, which delivers inventory images, films and music, claimed in a launch that it will present OpenAI with “significant-high quality” coaching info by granting accessibility to its video clip, graphic and music libraries. Shutterstock will continue on to leverage OpenAI’s textual content-to-graphic technology and enable clients to use “artificial modifying capabilities” to alter any graphic in the Shutterstock library.

The providers will also get the job done to carry generative AI to mobile consumers by means of Shutterstock’s Giphy GIF database. Shutterstock agreed to get Giphy from Meta in May well.

Shutterstock commenced its strategic partnership with OpenAI in 2021. In October of 2022, the corporation introduced it would commence to convey OpenAI’s image era capabilities to its clients.
