Sega to purchase Indignant Birds maker Rovio for 6 million

Japanese gaming big Sega declared Monday it has made a 706 million euro ($776 million) offer you for the maker of the Offended Birds puzzle game, Finland’s Rovio Leisure Oyj.

The offer would be for the entirety of Rovio’s exceptional shares and solutions, valuing them at 9.25 euro for each share, a roughly 19% high quality to their closing selling price prior to the announcement, Sega said.

Rovio’s board is in aid of the give, the enterprise added.

Rovio online games have been downloaded over 5 billion occasions, according to the statement Monday. Meanwhile its best-regarded Angry Birds franchise has been licensed into other entertainment and consumer goods.

The Wall Street Journal experienced earlier reported the deal was anticipated to be value all over $1 billion.

Rovio shares have been up 17.88% at 8:30 a.m. London time.
