Russia’s Putin announces partial armed service mobilization

Russian President Vladimir Putin on Wednesday introduced a partial military services mobilization in Russia, putting the country’s men and women and economic climate on a wartime footing as Moscow’s invasion of Ukraine continues.

In a pre-recorded announcement, Putin stated the West “desires to damage our country” and claimed the West experienced tried out to “turn Ukraine’s people today into cannon fodder,” in remarks translated by Reuters, repeating earlier statements in which he has blamed Western nations for starting up a proxy war with Russia.
