Russian drone assault in Odesa area hits Danube port infrastructure – Ukraine

Russia released a 3 1/2-hour drone attack on the southern pieces of the Odesa region early on Sunday, hitting a Danube River port infrastructure and injuring at minimum two people, Kyiv reported.

Ukraine’s air defence units shot down 22 of the 25 Iranian-made Shahed drones that Russia introduced on Odesa in the early Sunday hrs, Ukraine’s Air Force claimed on the Telegram messaging application.

Ukraine’s South Army Command reported on social media at the very least two civilians were hurt in the attack on what it said was the “civil infrastructure of the Danube”.

The Danube has turn out to be Ukraine’s principal route for exporting grain considering that the collapse of a U.N.-brokered deal in July that experienced authorized Kyiv to ship its grain via the Black Sea.

There was no detail on which port facility was hit. The military mentioned a fire that resulted from the attack at the facility was swiftly extinguished.

Some Ukrainian media reported blasts in the Reni port, 1 of the two important ports on the Danube that Ukraine operates. There was no immediate remark from Russia.
