Ripple CEO calls U.S. SEC Chair Gary Gensler a &#x27political liability&#x27

Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse fired off criticism at U.S. Securities and Exchange Fee Chairman Gary Gensler on Tuesday, calling the SEC main a “political liability” amid an ongoing lawsuit.

The crypto startup is battling the SEC around allegations that the business and its executives illegally marketed XRP tokens in unregistered securities revenue. A circumstance towards Garlinghouse and fellow government Chris Larsen was dismissed in Oct.

The SEC did not immediately reply to a CNBC ask for for remark.
