U.S. Rep. Republican Reps. Marjorie Taylor Greene and George Santos each fled the scene of developing protests outside the Manhattan courthouse wherever previous President Donald Trump is scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday.

Greene and Santos joined professional-Trump protesters in close proximity to the New York courthouse hrs prior to the scheduled court docket physical appearance. Greene was shown as a headliner for a 10:30 a.m. rally organized by the New York Younger Republican Club.

But in minutes of their individual arrivals, right after reporters and counterprotesters surrounded the lawmakers, both of them fled the scene. Santos still left before the protest’s official start off time.

In Greene’s situation, demonstrators with whistles and drums drowned her out soon just after she arrived at the rally.

The right-wing provocateur Greene, in an job interview with Appropriate Aspect Broadcasting, explained that they still left the place immediately after being “swarmed” by protestors.

“We ended up swarmed. Unbelievably swarmed,” Greene informed the outlet right after she still left the protests.

She also claimed she would be conducting interviews on Tuesday from within a vehicle when she’s in New York. She later expects to head to Mar-a-Lago, Trump’s non-public club in Florida, the place the former president options to react on digicam to the indictment brought towards by a New York grand jury.

Greene informed Ideal Aspect Broadcasting that she spoke with Trump on Monday. She explained the former president is “absolutely fully commited to preventing this injustice,” and seemed to review him to Jesus.

“President Trump is becoming a member of some of the most unbelievable individuals in heritage remaining arrested today. Nelson Mandela was arrested served time in jail. Jesus. Jesus was arrested and murdered by the Roman federal government,” she stated.

Greene beforehand tweeted that she was on the lookout “forward to seeing everybody in NYC this morning at 10:30 AM in Gather Pond Park to protest the political persecution of President Donald J. Trump.” Santos, who has been caught regularly lying about his resume, not too long ago reported on Twitter that “the weaponized justice technique is going soon after conservatives with political bias.”

Associates for Greene and Santos did not return requests for remark.

Santos tweeted in evident protection of his selection to flee the protest.

The congressman wrote: “Say what you want, I showed up what about you?”
