Pope Francis leaves medical center ‘Still alive,’ he quips

Pope Francis was discharged on Saturday from the Rome hospital in which he was addressed for bronchitis, quipping to journalists before remaining pushed absent: “I’m however alive.”

Francis, 86, was hospitalized on Wednesday at Gemelli Polyclinic just after reportedly obtaining breathing difficulties subsequent his weekly general public audience. The pontiff was handled with antibiotics administered intravenously, the Vatican explained.

The Vatican said that prior to departing, Francis hugged a pair whose daughter died Friday night time at the medical center.

Francis sat in the entrance seat of the white Fiat 500 automobile that drove him absent from Gemelli Polyclinic.

On the eve of his discharge, Vatican officers stated that Francis would be St. Peter’s Square for Palm Sunday Mass to mark the start out of Holy Week, which culminates on Easter, April 9.
