The Carney, a U.S. naval destroyer, observed a ballistic missile fired at a civilian industrial ship named the “Unity Explorer” and then responded to distress reports from the vessel. As it assisted the Unity Explorer, the Carney wrecked another Houthi drone headed to itself alone and the Unity Explorer.

“The Yemeni armed forces continue on to prevent Israeli ships from navigating the Red and Arab Seas till the Israeli aggression towards our steadfast brothers in the Gaza Strip stops,” the Houthis reported.

Yemen’s military services has previously warned that all Israeli ships or any entities related to Israel will be a “genuine goal” for assault until the war in Gaza finish. In November, the group stated it had captured an Israeli ship.
