Pakistan courtroom grants Imran Khan appeal of graft conviction, sentence suspended

A Pakistani court docket on Monday granted former Primary Minister Imran Khan an appeal of his conviction for graft and suspended his 14-year jail sentence, his bash stated.

Just a week in advance of Feb. 8 elections, Khan and his spouse Bushra Bibi had been each handed a 14-calendar year sentence on costs of unlawfully providing state gifts.

Khan remains in jail immediately after several other sentences were being imposed on the ex-cricket star ahead of the countrywide polls, which also disqualified him from keeping any community office for 10 a long time.
