Egypt’s International Minister Sameh Shoukry named on the U.S. to leverage its affect around Israel to prevent even further bloodshed in Gaza.

Speaking to CNBC’s Dan Murphy on Sunday at a Planet Financial Forum meeting in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, he reported “only the United States has the total capability to impact circumstances, and to motivate all sides anxious to locate the place of convergence, and to be ready to split the cycle of violence.”

His terms echoed other Arab leaders at the WEF conference who believe that ending the war in Gaza falls on the United States. Shoukry pushed Washington to “leverage their capacity to supply incentives, but also to indicate implications for the absence of accomplishment or the absence of progress in the cessation of hostilities.”
