In her to start with community responses considering that her husband was attacked, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said her relatives was “heartbroken and traumatized” by the brutal assault — but his problem is improving upon.
Paul Pelosi was violently attacked with a hammer by an intruder who broke into the couple’s household in San Francisco early Friday early morning. The House Speaker was not in San Francisco at the time of the assault.
“Yesterday early morning, a violent man broke into our family dwelling, demanded to confront me and brutally attacked my partner Paul,” she said in a letter tackled to House colleagues.
“Our small children, our grandchildren and I are heartbroken and traumatized by the existence-threatening attack on our Pop.”
Paul Pelosi, 82, has since long gone as a result of a successful surgery to restore a cranium fracture and major injuries to his right arm and fingers, Pelosi’s spokesman said on Friday.
“His affliction continues to enhance,” the Property Speaker mentioned in the letter.

The 42-yr-previous-assailant, David DePape, is currently being billed with tried homicide, assault with a deadly weapon, elder abuse “and many other further felonies,” according to San Francisco Police Chief William Scott.
A supply informed CNBC the attacker was looking for the Residence Speaker, shouting: “Where is Nancy, the place is Nancy?” in advance of he assaulted Paul Pelosi.
