Seven-time System 1 world winner Lewis Hamilton is on the cusp of a shock shift from Mercedes to Ferrari for the 2025 season, in accordance to many media reports.
Equally Sky Sporting activities and BBC Activity described on the news and prompt that formal confirmation could come as early as Thursday. ESPN, meanwhile, cited sources in just Formulation 1 as expressing the deal was “as superior as finished.”
CNBC was not able to independently verify the stories.
Mercedes declined to remark when contacted by CNBC. A spokesperson at Ferrari was not quickly readily available to remark.
A go to Ferrari, a person of the most iconic teams in the heritage of motorsport, would deliver an end to a remarkably profitable partnership. Hamilton initial signed with Mercedes in 2013 and went on to earn 6 of his seven environment titles with the workforce involving 2014 and 2020.
