Swedish weather activist Greta Thunberg on Tuesday was detained by law enforcement after becoming a member of hundreds of protesters to disrupt a major electricity meeting in London.

Thunberg was arrested outside the house the InterContinental London Park Lane hotel during the “Oily Revenue Out” protest organized by Fossil Free London and Greenpeace. The demonstration was held on the very first day of the Energy Intelligence Forum.

“We will need direct action to choose back again the power from the oil elite that has collected here nowadays guiding closed doorways. Their only approach is to revenue at our expenditure,” Nuri Syed Corser, an organizer with Fossil Free London, mentioned in a assertion.

“Arrests like these will not prevent us. Our suitable to protest is our possess, it is not offered to us by the Government,” they added.

The Strength Intelligence Discussion board, formerly known as the Oil and Income convention, is a three-working day collecting of key oil and gasoline executives, politicians and civil society groups.
