WASHINGTON — Bipartisan lawmakers are urging the nation’s top markets regulator to require Chinese rapid-style large Shein to disclose potential pressured labor methods forward of the company’s probable first general public presenting in the United States.

The speedy-manner firm has come under fire for accusations of mistreatment of Uyghurs, a marginalized group in China, and for allegedly falsifying stories of compelled or underpaid labor of its provider factories, some of which are located in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Area of China.

The alleged techniques violate the 2021 Uyghur Pressured Labor Prevention Act, Reps. Jennifer Wexton, D-Va., and John Rose, R-Tenn., wrote in a letter Monday to Securities and Trade Commission Chairman Gary Gensler.
