The committee voted unanimously on the subpoena and is demanding appropriate data and Trump’s testimony less than oath upcoming thirty day period.

“We acknowledge that a subpoena to a previous president is a considerable and historic action,” the panel’s leaders wrote Trump in a letter on Friday. Committee Chairman Rep. Bennie Thompson, D-Miss., and Cheney cited what they referred to as Trump’s central purpose in a deliberate, “multi-portion work” to reverse his loss in the 2020 presidential election.

The subpoena stated that Trump would be deposed on Nov. 14, right after the midterm elections. It is not distinct whether or not he will comply.

“This is just not going to be his very first debate versus Joe Biden and the circus and the foodstuff fight that that became,” she reported. “This is a considerably also severe set of problems.”
