India’s rising middle class will boost the mid-tier hospitality sector, says analyst

Manishi Raychaudhuri, CEO of Emmer Capital Partners, talks about India’s rising middle class and how that will boost the mid-tier hotel segment over the next decade. He adds job creation and income expectations will remain the most important driver for consumption, noting that income tax relief and upcoming government wage hikes could boost urban consumption. Raychaudhuri thinks there is now room for fiscal and monetary measures to further augment growth.
