A claim by Yemen’s Houthi group on Saturday that its forces had attacked the U.S. aircraft carrier Dwight D. Eisenhower in the Crimson Sea is bogus, two U.S. officers advised Reuters.
“That is incorrect,” a single of the officers reported, talking on issue of anonymity.
The Iran-aligned Houthis initial introduced drone and missile strikes in the crucial waterway in November in what they say is solidarity with Palestinian militants in Gaza, where Israel has waged a much more than eight-month-outdated war.
