Linda Yaccarino despatched a memo to staff members of X (formerly Twitter) on Thursday in the aftermath of Elon Musk’s job interview with Andrew Ross Sorkin, which she characterised to her staff as “candid” and “profound.”

On Wednesday at the DealBook Summit, Musk accused advertisers of striving to “blackmail” him by pulling ads from the system immediately after Musk reported he agreed with a social media post accusing “Jewish communities” of pushing “hatred versus whites.” Musk’s first feedback drew condemnation from the White Home, which blasted Musk for promoting “antisemitic and racist detest.”

“If somebody’s likely to try to blackmail me with promotion?” X proprietor and CTO Musk said in the course of the job interview. “Blackmail me with dollars? Go f— on your own. Go. F—. On your own. Is that crystal clear?”

In the memo despatched Thursday, Yaccarino explained to workforce that the X owner “shared an unmatched and totally unvarnished perspective and eyesight for the long run.”
