A sea corridor to get desperately required assist from Cyprus to besieged Palestinians in Gaza could begin this weekend, the European Union said on Friday.

U.S. President Joe Biden claimed on Thursday that a non permanent port would be built in Gaza to facilitate a movement of support by sea, to begin with from Cyprus.

“As the EU member at the heart of the location, Cyprus bears a moral duty to do its utmost … leveraging its job and great relations with all nations in the region,” Christodoulides claimed.
