French prosecutors investigating Sanofi over probable marketplace manipulation

French prosecutors have opened a preliminary investigation into multinational pharmaceutical corporation Sanofi above achievable marketplace manipulation.

A judicial source verified to CNBC on Tuesday that the Parquet Nationwide Financier, the French money prosecutor, opened a preliminary probe in March 2023 into counts of “dissemination of untrue or misleading data and price tag manipulation,” relating to the firm’s earlier monetary communications.

“Sanofi is not mindful of any preliminary investigation on its 2017 accounts or other make a difference by the Parquet National Financier. We stand by the accuracy of our accounts,” Sanofi mentioned in an emailed statement.
