The FCC did not grant SpaceX’s whole application, which involved deployment of approximately 30,000 satellites in very low Earth orbit, and it positioned some disorders on the company’s system to deploy the satellites. It deferred decision on the software to start the whole selection.

The FCC imposed a restrict on the number of satellites in SpaceX’s second-technology of the Starlink constellation, also known as Gen2, in buy “to address fears about orbital debris and place protection.”
