Elon Musk satisfied with Italy Primary Minister to discuss A.I., birth fees, as hunt for new manufacturing facility site proceeds

Elon Musk met with Italy Primary Minister Giorgia Meloni on Thursday and talked over the challenges of artificial intelligence and delivery rates, among the other matters, the Italian chief tweeted Thursday.

The Tesla CEO landed in Rome on Thursday on a flight from Austin, Texas, in accordance to the Instagram account that tracks the billionaire’s private jet.

It marks the start of what is anticipated to be a quick European tour. Musk will journey to France on Friday to communicate at the Viva Tech conference in Paris, the country’s largest technological know-how party.

Meloni tweeted in Italian that she and Musk discussed “innovation, options and hazards of artificial intelligence, European market laws, and birth premiums.”

Musk has frequently warned of the risks of synthetic intelligence. In February, Musk claimed AI is “one particular of the major threats to the foreseeable future of civilization.” Musk has also in the past referred to as speedily declining birth rates “a single of the biggest dangers to civilization.”

The conference with the Italian prime minister arrives as leaders in Europe attempt to woo the Tesla manager into developing a new motor vehicle production facility in their international locations.

France’s Digital Minister Jean-Noel Barrot explained to CNBC this 7 days that the country’s governing administration is trying to influence Musk “that France is the very best doable area in Europe to build the next Tesla manufacturing unit.”
