Tesla CEO Elon Musk claimed on Tuesday he is “the cause that OpenAI exists,” citing his past expense in the entity, and that Microsoft exerts regulate about the AI company, an assertion strongly denied by Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella.

Musk has previously regularly asserted that Microsoft controls OpenAI and that OpenAI’s capped-financial gain product is questionable. Musk was an early backer of the AI startup, reportedly committing to $1 billion in assist right before pulling out more than disagreements over the speed of OpenAI’s progress. He reported he ultimately invested someplace all over $50 million.
