Comedian Jon Stewart claims Apple requested him not to interview FTC Chair Lina Khan

Comic Jon Stewart reported Apple asked him not to interview Federal Trade Fee Chair Lina Khan on a podcast while he was internet hosting his Apple Tv+ show “The Challenge With Jon Stewart.”

His Television set exhibit ran for two seasons right before ending abruptly in October.

“I gotta explain to you, I needed to have you on a podcast, and Apple questioned us not to do it, to have you,” Stewart instructed Khan all through an episode of “The Everyday Display” on Monday. “They literally claimed, ‘Please never communicate to her.'”

Stewart questioned Khan why the organization could possibly be “fearful” to have particular conversations out in community. Stewart’s remarks came approximately two weeks just after the Section of Justice sued Apple in a landmark antitrust situation. In February Stewart returned to his previous function as host of “The Day by day Present,” but only on Mondays.

The comedian reportedly disagreed with Apple executives around his solution to friends and subjects on his exhibit, including topics this sort of as artificial intelligence and China, in accordance to The New York Moments.

Apple did not right away answer to CNBC’s request for remark.
