Chrysler, Dodge mum or dad recalling 318,000 automobiles over probably faulty airbag elements

The mum or dad enterprise of Chrysler and Dodge is recalling a whole of 318,000 motor vehicles above airbag components that can likely shatter and cause damage.

The dad or mum, Stellantis, said in documents posted on the Countrywide Highway Website traffic Protection Administration web site that influenced vehicles’ aspect airbag inflators can explode and hurl shrapnel inside the car.

The recall influences Dodge Charger and Chrysler 300 autos from the 2018 by way of 2021 product years.

Stellantis explained it had acquired no studies of injuries.

Dealers have been instructed to swap the faulty parts no cost of cost.
