China’s EV architect suggests investing in Europe is a way forward

  • China’s Ministry of Commerce claimed over the weekend it was launching consultations with the EU about the bloc’s probe into the part of subsidies in Chinese electric powered cars and trucks.
  • “I imagine the governments [of China and the EU] are now contemplating how as a result of negotiations they can merge financial commitment together with commodity trade,” reported Wan Gang, now president of the China Affiliation for Science and Technological know-how.
  • Wan turned China’s minister of Science and Technology close to 2007 and is known for spearheading the country’s early drive into electric powered automobiles.
