China will limit exports of some aviation, aerospace devices to ‘safeguard national security’

China on Thursday claimed it will prohibit the exports of specified aviation and aerospace components and systems commencing July 1, citing the will need to “safeguard nationwide protection.”

The new restrictions seek out to greater safeguard nationwide stability and fulfill global obligations this sort of as non-proliferation, a spokesperson from the Ministry of Commerce stated in a statement. Exports of items such as gear, computer software and technologies relevant to aerospace structural parts, engine producing and manufacturing of gasoline turbines will require export licenses.

Beijing opposes any state or region applying controlled objects from China to engage in activities that undermine China’s national sovereignty, safety, and growth, the statement explained.
