U.S. President Joe Biden dismissed concerns about his remark referencing Chinese chief Xi Jinping a “dictator,” declaring his remarks did not undermine diplomatic attempts to mend fragile ties involving the two nations.

“I never believe it can be had any serious consequence,” Biden instructed reporters Thursday at a joint push meeting in Washington with the going to Indian Primary Minister Narendra Modi.
