Biden condemns GOP criticism of college student loan personal debt forgiveness

President Joe Biden slammed congressional Republicans who criticized college student financial loan forgiveness soon after passing tax cuts for the abundant.

“I will never apologize for assisting America’s middle class – primarily not to the very same folks who voted for a $2 trillion tax slice for the wealthy and giant corporations that racked up the deficit,” the president tweeted from his official @POTUS account on Thursday.

Biden produced a single of the most influential plan selections of his presidency Wednesday when he announced the cancelation of up to $10,000 in federal pupil bank loan credit card debt for borrowers earning under $125,000 a 12 months or $250,000 for married couples or heads of households. Pell Grant recipients can have up to $20,000 of financial debt canceled.

The Ga Republican included that Biden’s personal debt forgiveness policy is a plan to provide in Democratic votes all through the November midterm elections.

But general public documents show that Greene was the beneficiary of financial loan forgiveness in the early months of the pandemic. A PPP bank loan of $182,200 specified to Greene’s organization, Taylor Business Inc., in April 2020 was forgiven with accrued fascination, according to records maintained by ProPublica.
