At the very least 32 persons died and numerous are feared wounded following a cable bridge collapsed into a river in the western Indian point out of Gujarat on Sunday night, according to the Press Rely on of India information agency.

Regional media stories mentioned hundreds plunged into the Machchu river when the bridge in the state’s Morbi district collapsed. It was not instantly apparent how a lot of men and women ended up on the bridge.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi introduced payment to the people of the dead and urged for speedy rescue endeavours, his office explained in a tweet.
