Apple has questioned suppliers to commence creating some of its AirPods and Beats headphones in India as early as upcoming year, according to a Nikkei Asia report Wednesday.

The talks mark the company’s hottest endeavor to lower the hazard of source chain disruptions in China thanks to Covid lockdowns and amplified U.S.-China trade tensions. Apple was reportedly in discussions in August to shift some of its Apple Watches, MacBooks and HomePods to Vietnam, and it introduced in September it is assembling some of its flagship Iphone 14 phones in India.

Foxconn, one of Apple’s manufacturing associates, will make the Beats headphones in India and attempt to deliver AirPods there in the long run, according to the report.
