AMD claimed it sees an opportunity to develop an artificial intelligence chip specially for the Chinese market place to comply with U.S. export curbs, in a go that would observe rivals Nvidia and Intel.

Lisa Su, CEO of AMD, stated on an earnings connect with late Tuesday that China is an “crucial” current market and that the semiconductor huge wants to be absolutely compliant with U.S. export controls.

China stays a lucrative marketplace for U.S. chipmakers, certain in AI in which there are several homegrown solutions to the likes of Nvidia.
