Telecommunication firms should be able to deliver urban air mobility, says SK Telecom

BARCELONA, Spain — South Korean telecommunications large SK Telecom is setting up to launch a flying taxi service in 2025 and expects it to produce “considerable” revenue likely forward, a senior government told CNBC.

Last year, SK Telecom and U.S. firm Joby Aviation inked a tie-up to develop air taxis for the South Korean current market. Joby Aviation is a maker of so-called electrical vertical just take-off and landing autos.
