The chief of the House Democratic caucus reported Friday that he had satisfied with President Joe Biden to share views from his caucus about “the path ahead,” an apparent reference to Biden’s status as the party’s presidential nominee.
The meeting Thursday night in between Minority Leader Rep. Hakeem Jeffries, D-N.Y., and Biden arrived on the heels of a exceptional information convention by the president, who at that celebration insisted he would stay in the race in opposition to Republican presumptive nominee Donald Trump.

“On behalf of the Residence Democratic Caucus, I requested and was graciously granted a personal meeting with President Joe Biden,” Jeffries wrote. “In my dialogue with President Biden, I straight expressed the whole breadth of perception, heartfelt views and conclusions about the path forward that the Caucus has shared in our latest time with each other.
“As House Democrats have performed through this Congress, we will go on to perform in the most effective pursuits of everyday Individuals,” the chief wrote. “Thank you for your continued leadership in assistance of the communities we are privileged to stand for.”
