UK’s Starmer appoints Reeves and Rayner to leading ministerial team

Britain’s new Key Minister Keir Starmer commenced appointing his ministerial workforce on Friday following a thumping election victory for his Labour Get together, naming Rachel Reeves as the country’s 1st female finance minister and Angela Rayner as deputy PM.

Starmer appointed David Lammy as Britain’s new overseas minister and as John Healey the defence minister, while Yvette Cooper will become inside minister, recognised as household secretary, overseeing domestic protection and policing.

Lammy and Healey consider cost at a time of two major world-wide conflicts and have promised to sustain ongoing assistance for Ukraine in its conflict with Russia and press for a ceasefire in the fighting in Gaza.

Starmer has pledged to assist rebuild Britain and present political balance soon after 14 several years of Conservative government that has witnessed five key ministers and an even bigger turnover of other vital ministers, such as 10 schooling secretaries.

The appointments of his most senior crew had been widely anticipated, with ministers currently being named to the plan briefs they held whilst serving in opposition.

Rayner will also serve as secretary for levelling up, housing and communities.
