The portfolio manager and head of quantitative research at Causeway manages its Emerging Markets Fund and International Opportunities Fund . Both funds have outperformed their benchmarks over the year to May 31, with the former rising 13% versus MSCI Emerging Markets’ 3.5%, and the latter up 9.6% year-to-date compared to the MSCI ACWI ex-U.S.’ 6.1%. While both funds invest in emerging market stocks, the International Opportunities Fund also holds stocks of companies located in developed countries outside the U.S. Jayaraman will discuss his favorite stocks across the funds, which range from Big Oil stocks and pharmaceutical firms in the U.K., to renewable energy companies in India.
