Adidas investigates bribery allegations in China, FT suggests

Adidas has released an investigation into allegations of significant-scale bribery in China soon after the enterprise received a whistleblower grievance that accused senior staff of embezzling “hundreds of thousands of euros”, the Financial Instances claimed on Sunday.

The anonymous letter, which promises to have been published by “employees of Adidas China”, names many Chinese Adidas staff members which includes a senior manager involved with the marketing spending plan in the country, which the document stated stood at 250 million euros ($267.5 million) a calendar year, the FT documented.

Adidas verified that it experienced obtained an anonymous letter on June 7 indicating possible compliance violations in China. The German sportswear business said it was investigating this make any difference collectively with external legal counsel.
