Hamas says it accepts stop-fire proposal from Egyptian, Qatari mediators

Hamas explained it explained to Egyptian and Qatari negotiators that it has permitted a cease-hearth proposal to halt the war in Gaza, in accordance to a press statement.

Israel has not still issued a official reaction.

Negotiations intensified around the weekend, with facilitation from U.S. CIA Director William Burns, alongside mediators from Egypt and Qatar.

The negotiations came amid Israel’s ongoing threats to invade Gaza’s southernmost town of Rafah, which appeared imminent if a short-term stop-fire arrangement was not achieved.

U.S. officers have regularly warned Israel from an offensive in Rafah, wherever hundreds of thousands of civilians have taken refuge.

Last 7 days, the U.S. paused a cargo of weapons to Israel, including 2,000-pound bombs, as Israel continued to sign that a floor invasion of Rafah could be coming before long, two senior administration officers verified to NBC News.

On Monday, Israel ordered civilians in japanese Rafah to evacuate, introducing to fears that Israel designs to invade the southern town.

NBC Information previously noted that the offer would have to have Hamas to launch 33 hostages in trade for Israel agreeing to release Palestinian prisoners and pause military functions, which would relieve the stream of humanitarian assist into Gaza.
