Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss, the billionaire twins recognized for suing Mark Zuckerberg for allegedly stealing their thought for Fb, are investing millions of pounds into a smaller English soccer club.

The twins, who currently run the crypto exchange Gemini, declared Friday that they have invested $4.5 million truly worth of bitcoin in Serious Bedford Soccer Club (RBFC), earning it the “initial football club driven by bitcoin,” according to a statement Friday.

RBFC, a non-league, semiprofessional club from Bedford, England, was bought in 2022 by bitcoin trader and podcaster Peter McCormack. The newest offer will see the Winklevoss twins provide as co-house owners of RBFC, alongside McCormack, a lifelong Bedford resident.

“There was this value alignment with all of us remaining early bitcoiners,” Cameron Winklevoss informed CNBC, outlining his decision to co-owned RBFC with McCormack. “Getting early in bitcoin is the greatest asset take a look at. What it shows is you have to have vision, you have to have conviction, and ought to be persistent.”
